Ye who suffer, seek Him!
Mitski - Instead of Here
Phoebe Bridgers - Demi Moore
9/4/2026 - Matthew 17
Jesus takes a few apostles to a mountain, and there He is transfigured,
meaning, that He shined brightly. A bright cloud affirmed that this, Jesus, is His Son in whom He (the
Father) is well pleased. Moses and Elias (John the Baptist) appear momentarily. Jesus heals a possessed man.
Jesus foretells the apostles of His crucifixion and resurrection. Jesus pays a tax miraculously with money
found in a fish's mouth.
9/3/2026 - Matthew 16
Jesus warns His apostles not to be like the Pharisees. Jesus tells them about
His impending crucifixion.
9/2/2026 - Matthew 15
Jesus is in a dispute with religious leaders, He calls them hypocrites. They
depart to the coast of Tyre and Sidon. Jesus heals a Canaanitish woman's daughter of possession. Jesus went
to a mountain by the Sea of Galilee, a multitude gathered, and brought Him their sick to be healed, and they
were. Jesus feeds over four thousand with seven loaves and a few fishes, another miracle. Then He left to
Magdala.
9/1/2026 - Matthew 14
King Herod believes that Jesus is John the Baptist brought back to life, who
he killed at the request of Herodias, (his brother's ex-wife, now his wife) because John said their marriage
was unlawful. Jesus ventured in a ship. He had compassion on the multitude and healed their sick. Jesus fed
a crowd of over 5 thousand, with 5 loaves of bread and two fishes, with 12 baskets leftover, a miracle.
Jesus sends the apostles on a ship while He remains on land to pray. While on the sea, the apostles ship is
tossed with waves and wind, and Jesus approaches the ship, walking on water. Peter asks Christ if he too can
walk on water, and does, but falls out of doubt, and is caught and saved by Jesus. When they entered the
ship, the wind stopped, and the apostles worshipped Jesus, the Son of God. They reach land, and many people
believe that if they touch Jesus' garment, they'll be healed, and they are.
8/31/2026 - Matthew 13
Jesus teaches a multitude in parables about the Kingdom of Heaven, about the
division between the saved and the unsaved. In Jesus own country, He was rejected.
8/30/2026 - Matthew 12
The Pharisees gave Jesus a hard time after He healed people. Jesus rebuked
the Pharisees and affirmed His highness and authority. Jesus values people who listen to Him.
8/29/2026 - Matthew 11
Jesus confirms to John's disciples that He is the Messiah spoken of in
scripture. Jesus spoke to a crowd, and affirmed John as also being spoken of in scripture. Jesus lamented
the cities He performed His miracles in because few believed. Jesus offers the crowd (spiritual) rest.
8/28/2026 - Matthew 10
Jesus empowers His apostles to do works as He has done, and sends them
throughout Israel. He warns them of the persecution they would face. It also sounds like He shifts into
speaking about the persecution end-times Christians would face. He reminds them of their value (to God) and
tells them not to be afraid of men.
8/28/2026 - Matthew 9
Jesus (and the apostles) returned to the ship, left the area, and arrived in
"his own city". A sick man is brought to Jesus, and He forgave the man's sins. Some scribes who witnessed
the event "said within themselves" that His forgiving sins was blasphemy. Jesus then also heals the
sick/paralyzed man, and, in order to show His authority to forgive sins, tells the formerly-paralyzed man to
pick up His bed and go home, (and the man did). Onlookers glorified God. Jesus recruits Matthew to join the
apostles. Jesus had a meal with publicans (tax collectors) and sinners. The Pharisees asked the apostles why
Jesus did so. Jesus responded with the sentiment that the sick are in need of a doctor, not the healthy.
Jesus tells the disciples of John (the Baptist?) that one day He (Christ) would not be here, and that
mourning would comence among the apostles at that time. A ruler asked Jesus to heal/bring back to life his
dead daughter, (he demonstrated faith, like the centurion, believing that Christ could help her). On the way
there, a woman suffering a blood related illness also demonstrated faith, beliving that if she could touch
Christ's garment, she would be healed. After she did touch His garment, Jesus told her that she was indeed
healed. Jesus arrived at the house and brought the ruler's daughter back to life. When Jesus left, two blind
men asked Christ to have mercy on them; He asked if they believed He could, and He did heal their eyes.
Afterwards, Christ healed a dumb possessed man, shocking the multitudes. The Pharisees accuse Jesus. Jesus
then went to various cities and villages, preaching the Gospel, teaching, and healing. He had compassion on
the multitudes.
8/28/2026 - Matthew 8
Jesus heals a leper. Jesus heals the servant of a centurion who demonstrated
great faith, (that Christ could heal the man remotely because of His authority). Jesus seems to imply that
the children of Israel will be denied Heaven whereas people from around the world won't be (denied). Jesus
heals Peter's mother-in-law of a fever. Jesus heals possessed people and sick people that are brought to
Him, (to fullfill a prophecy saying such). Jesus and the apostles enter a ship, and while Jesus was asleep
they found themselves in a storm. The apostles wake Jesus and He calms the storm, He rebukes them for their
fear and little faith. When their ship reached land, they came across two possessed men. The demons within
the men knew Jesus to be the Son of God and feared that He would torment them. He allowed the demons to,
after being cast out of the men, enter into a herd of swine. The pigs ran into the sea and died. The
townspeople asked Jesus to leave.
8/28/2026 - Matthew 7
Jesus continues to teach the crowd. Don't be a hypocrite. Treat others the
way you'd want to be treated. Various other teachings. This sermon, which started a few chapters ago has
concluded.
8/27/2026 - Matthew 6
Jesus continues to teach the crowd. While His teachings are numerous,
thematically they almost all center on engaging with God and goodness truly/in a genuine manner. Something
akin to following the spirit of the law, rather than just the word of the law. Jesus encourages the crowd to
be of a spiritual focus rather than a worldly one, and to have faith rather than fear. To really actually be
spiritually minded/centered.
8/26/2026 - Matthew 5
Jesus teaches the crowd, especially about His standard of love and the way we
ought to treat others.
8/25/2026 - Matthew 4
Jesus is tempted by the Devil in the wilderness. The Devil offers
Jesus, "all the kingdoms of the world" in exchange for worship, but Christ denies him. Angels
minister unto Jesus. Jesus hears that John has been arrested and begins a journey to see Him. Along the way
Jesus begins to preach and recruits the apostles. Christ preaches in the synagouges, shares the Gospel, and
heals the sick. People from all around hear about Jesus and bring to Him sick, crazy, and possessed people
to be healed, and they are. "Great multitudes of people" follow Him from various regions.
8/25/2026 - Matthew 3
An introduction to John the Baptist, a man preaching to and baptizing
people in the Jordan River, preparing the way for Christ. John confronts the Pharisees and Sadducees about
their lack of righteousness and warns them of the impending Christ and the division between wheat which is
to be saved and chaff which is to be burned. Jesus goes to John to be baptized. At Jesus' baptism, a light
from Heaven and the Holy Spirit appear. The voice of the Father speaking from Heaven is heard saying, "This
is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
8/25/2026 - Matthew 2
The story of the wise men inquiring of King Herod where Christ was
born, so that they could worship Him. The wise men find the Christ by following the star; Herod seeks to
destroy Christ as a baby. Joseph warned of danger in various dreams by God, takes Mary and Jesus to Egypt;
and upon the death of Herod, to Israel, and finally Narareth.
8/25/2026 - Matthew 1
The lineage of Jesus, as well as Joseph's dream where he is told to
take Mary to wife, that she did no wrong doing, that their child is of the Holy Spirit, and that He is to be
named Jesus.
